About Spotify
Spotify is a global music, podcast, and audio streaming platform built around discovering, playing, and sharing audio. Its digital experience pairs a dark interface with bright green accents and clear, listener-focused messaging.

Spotify’s full logo combines the circular icon with the Spotify wordmark. Use the full logo wherever there is room, and the icon on its own only when space is tight or Spotify is already established. The wordmark never appears without the icon.
The green logo is the primary colorway and belongs on black or white. On any other background, use the black logo on light colors and the white logo on dark colors. Keep clear space equal to half the icon’s height around the logo.

Spotify’s voice
Write in plain, direct language that starts with what listeners can do or enjoy. Keep benefits specific and easy to scan. Spotify’s product copy speaks directly to the listener and explains features in practical terms.
- “The world is listening here”
- “Shaping the big moments in music”
- “Sign up to get unlimited songs and podcasts with occasional ads. No credit card needed”
- “What do you want to play?”
Dos and don’ts
Do
- Use Spotify Green as the resting color that makes Spotify recognizable, paired with black and white.
- Use the full logo wherever there is room; use the icon alone only when space is tight or the brand is already established.
- Put the green logo only on black or white; use the black logo on other light backgrounds and the white logo on dark ones.
- Set headings in Spotify Mix UI Title and body and interface copy in Spotify Mix UI.
- Write directly to listeners and make product benefits clear.
Don’t
- Don’t rotate, stretch or recolor the logo, fill in the lines of the icon, or use the logo as a letter in a word.
- Don’t use the Spotify wordmark without the icon.
- Don’t place the logo in a busy or low-contrast area of an image or on top of text.
- Don’t make feature copy vague when a practical listener benefit can be stated clearly.
More from the Brand Skill
Discovery imagery
Spotify’s discovery experience uses visual tiles for radio recommendations and browsing categories. Keep these images in their role as content and discovery artwork, rather than treating them as Spotify identity marks.
Product imagery
Spotify’s product pages combine concise feature messaging with visual material that introduces a listening experience. Use product imagery to support the specific feature or content being described.
Download Spotify’s Brand Skill
A Brand Skill is a folder of brand guidance written for agents. Give it to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another agent and ask it to follow Spotify’s guidelines. It starts at SKILL.md, which points to the right file for each task.
This copy includes the guidance and logos. It leaves out the reference images and font files.
