What a brand kit is for
A brand kit is the short version of a brand’s identity: the logos, colors and typefaces anyone needs to make something that fits with the rest of the brand. Designers ask for one before a project starts, agencies collect one from every new client, and marketers attach one to every brief.
Most companies never write one down. The pieces sit on the website, in a designer’s files and in someone’s head. This brand kit generator reads them from the website instead, so you start from what the brand already uses rather than from a blank template.
A kit covers what a brand looks like. It doesn’t say how to use it: which logo goes where, what the brand would never say, or how a campaign should feel. That guidance is what a Rainbrand brand adds, and agents need it to make work that’s on-brand.
Questions
- Is the brand kit generator free?
- Yes. There’s no signup, and the download is free. Each visitor can make 3 kits a day, which keeps the tool free for everyone.
- What’s in the download?
- A ZIP with everything Rainbrand finds on the site: every logo and icon as SVG or PNG, images from the site, the colors with HEX and RGB codes, the site’s type sizes and spacing, and a text file with the font names, description, tagline and social links.
- Why doesn’t the kit include font files?
- Fonts are licensed separately from the website that uses them. The kit gives you their names, so you can get them from Google Fonts or from the type foundry.
- Can I use it on any website?
- Any public website. The kit shows what the site publishes. A logo in the kit doesn’t mean the brand endorses you, and its logos still belong to their owner. To have a brand removed from the generator, email support@rainbrand.com.
- Why is something missing from my kit?
- Some sites draw their logo in a way that can’t be read, or load fonts that can’t be seen from outside. The kit says what it couldn’t find. If you add the brand to Rainbrand, you can upload the missing files.
- How is a Rainbrand brand different from a brand kit?
- A kit is a set of files you download once. A Rainbrand brand adds guidance on how to use them, and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and your other agents can use it in their work. When the brand changes, you update it once and every agent gets the change. Your first brand is free.
- Can I do this for my own customers?
- Yes, with the Rainbrand API. It builds a brand from each customer’s website when they sign up, so your product can use their logos, colors, fonts and voice from the start.
