About NBA
The NBA is the National Basketball Association: a global basketball league and media brand. Its creative work brings together the drama of live competition, the personalities and stories of players and teams, and the depth of statistics, news, and game coverage.
NBA logo

Use the NBA’s primary logo as the default brand signature. Keep the artwork intact and clearly legible; preserve its original proportions, colors, and spacing. Use the standalone NBA mark when a compact symbol is needed. Choose the logo or mark that suits the available space rather than recreating either from type.
The NBA Logoman is also used as an NBA identity mark in official league materials.

NBA’s voice
Write with the NBA’s mix of immediacy, authority, and fan energy. Lead with the game, the player, or the moment; make the news easy to grasp; and support analysis with precise, relevant detail. Use vivid sports language when it clarifies the action, not as filler.
- “The game never stops – get 24/7/365 coverage of the NBA with around-the-clock news, analysis, and highlights.”
- “Get closer to the game with stats overlays, customizable broadcasts, and betting and strategy streams.”
Dos and don’ts
Do
- Use the NBA’s primary logo or standalone mark intact and legible.
- Use NBA blue as the principal accent, supported by the signature palette and strong black contrast.
- Use Knockout Wide, Roboto, and Roboto Condensed in their established roles.
- Lead copy with the game, player, or defining moment, then provide clear context and accurate detail.
- Make basketball action and player storytelling the focus of editorial imagery.
- Show NBA product experiences clearly and keep partner identities visually distinct.
Don’t
- Don't redraw, distort, recolor, or crowd the NBA logo or standalone mark.
- Don't let decorative effects, excessive copy, or competing imagery distract from the game or the key story.
- Don't use statistics or editorial claims without checking that the figures and context are accurate.
- Don't present a partner identity as an NBA identity.
NBA imagery
18 images from nba.com, in 2 files of the Brand Skill. Each file starts with its guidance, then shows the images it refers to.
Editorial Imagery
12 imagesMake basketball the visual center: show players in motion, decisive plays, expressive reactions, and the atmosphere around the game. Use photography that feels close to the action, with enough context to read the moment. For historical and feature storytelling, balance game action with portraits, celebrations, and archival moments.
NBA editorial presentation pairs strong sports imagery with clear, compact headline treatment. A thumbnail should work as a compelling glimpse of its story, while avoiding unnecessary overlays that compete with the image.
Product and Experience Imagery
6 imagesShow the NBA’s own product experiences as they are: game viewing, stats, schedules, team and player information, and live or on-demand coverage. When a task is about a particular NBA product, keep its interface imagery and product messaging together so the experience is clear. League Pass creative emphasizes access to live out-of-market games, viewing options, and ways to customize the broadcast.
Use league and team marks only in their appropriate NBA context. Keep partner identities distinct from the NBA’s own brand identity.

It has the guidance, 18 images and the logos. The font files belong to NBA Properties, Inc, so they’re left out.
