Use the X mark as the current platform identity. Keep the strokes and proportions intact, with strong black-and-white contrast. The Twitter bird is a historical identity, not a replacement for the current X mark.

X / Twitter’s voice
Write in a direct, conversational voice that makes information easy to understand. X’s privacy copy opens with a human, lightly informal observation, then explains the subject in plain language and helps readers take control.
For explanatory copy, pair warmth with clarity.
- “See what’s happening with live commentary from news to sports”
- “It’s really hard to make everyone happy with a Privacy Policy”
- “What’s yours is yours — you own your Content”
Dos and don’ts
Do
- Use the X standalone mark artwork when a design calls for the brand mark.
- In light web layouts, use white for the page background, black for text, and blue as the accent.
- Set X interface headings and body copy in Chirp, using the documented heading and body weights.
- Write plainly and directly; use concise language for timely, live content.
Don’t
- Treat the sharing card or iOS icon as a standalone logo.
- Replace the documented web accent with a neutral tone in light-theme designs.
- Use button labels as a substitute for clear supporting copy; explain the value or action in direct language.
- Turn explanatory brand copy into dense or overly formal prose when a plain-language expression will do.
X / Twitter imagery
2 images from x.com, in one file of the Brand Skill. Each file starts with its guidance, then shows the images it refers to.
Brand imagery
2 imagesKeep branded imagery in its proper role. The X sharing card and the iOS icon are useful references for branded digital media, but neither is a standalone logo; use the standalone mark assets for logo work.
Download X / Twitter’s Brand Skill
A Brand Skill is a folder of brand guidance written for agents. Give it to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another agent and ask it to follow X / Twitter’s guidelines. It starts at SKILL.md, which points to the right file for each task.
It has the guidance, 2 images and the logos. The font files belong to X Corp, so they’re left out.
