Tekla’s voice
Write with calm confidence and thoughtful precision. Keep the focus on quality, function, materials and the experience of living with well-made pieces. Prefer plain, direct language over hype; explain the value of longevity and care without overstating claims.
Use the brand’s measured, human phrasing, for example: “Tekla pieces are designed to be lived in and made to last”; “We make a case for quality, design and longevity across our entire value chain”; and “We source with integrity, build lasting relationships with suppliers.”
- “Tekla pieces are designed to be lived in and made to last”
- “We make a case for quality, design and longevity across our entire value chain”
- “We source with integrity, build lasting relationships with suppliers”
Dos and don’ts
Do
- Unite form and function; make design feel elevated yet useful in everyday life.
- Lead with quality, colour, material and honest design.
- Keep the identity black, white and grey, so the colour and texture of the textiles carry the page.
- Write plainly and specifically about comfort, function, care and longevity.
- Show products in lived-in settings and let their materials, texture and considered details remain visible.
Don’t
- Don’t chase rapid trend cycles or treat a product as disposable.
- Don’t let decorative styling overwhelm function, material or product detail.
- Don’t use exaggerated claims in place of clear, grounded descriptions.
More from the Brand Skill
Imagery
Use product and lifestyle photography to convey how Tekla pieces work in the home and wardrobe. Favor compositions that make fabric, colour, pattern, construction and texture easy to read. Keep styling considered and functional, with a sense of comfort rather than spectacle.
Product imagery
Use product photography to show the product clearly and accurately. Where available, retain distinct product views so that material, colour and form can be understood from more than one angle. Bedding and bath products can be shown in coordinated settings; clothing should retain its relaxed silhouette and tailoring details.
Down product
When describing the down collection, distinguish fill power from TOG: fill power describes loft and insulating capacity; TOG indicates heat retention. Tekla’s duvets use European goose down; pillows use down and feathers. Explain construction accurately: light duvets are stitched through, while all-season and extra-warm duvets use baffle walls to support loft and reduce cold spots.
