About Rifle Paper Co.

Rifle Paper Co. is a stationery and lifestyle brand built around Anna Bond’s hand-painted artwork: bold colors, painted florals, botanical patterns, and illustrated characters bring a distinctive, joyful touch to stationery, gifts, home décor, and everyday moments.

Use the RIFLE PAPER CO. wordmark, set in widely spaced capitals, to identify the brand. Keep it distinct from the painted patterns, product photography and partner marks around it.

Rifle Paper Co.’s voice

Write with warmth, optimism, and a personal, thoughtful sensibility. Connect beautiful design to real-life rituals: writing a note, giving a gift, or bringing color into a room. Keep the language approachable and sincere, with delight in the details rather than grandiose claims.

For occasion-led copy, make room for the human gesture behind the product: a heartfelt message, a celebration, or a note of encouragement. Be gentle and sincere for sympathy and support; let birthday and holiday messages feel lively and celebratory.

  • “We create moments of unexpected beauty in the real world”
  • “Our world is full of bold colors, painted florals, and illustrated characters”
  • “create beautiful, quality products that bring joy to the everyday”
  • “I hope you love what we create - we are always listening to new ideas, and your feedback along the way”

Dos and don’ts

Do

  • Lead with original hand-painted florals, botanicals, and illustrated characters when creating brand-led visuals.
  • Use bold color and distinctive pattern to bring charm and beauty to everyday products and moments.
  • Keep product storytelling warm, personal, and attentive to craft and useful detail.
  • Pair occasion-led products with sincere, human language that supports the feeling of the moment.

Don’t

  • Don’t replace the hand-painted quality with generic stock florals or impersonal decorative graphics.
  • Don’t let visual embellishment obscure the product or the message.
  • Don’t use a cold, overly formal, or boastful voice in place of the brand’s warm, thoughtful tone.

More from the Brand Skill

Illustration and patterns

Build visual work around original hand-painted artwork, especially lush florals and botanicals. The paintings begin in gouache; translate their layered, handmade character into patterns with clear illustrative detail and lively color. Illustrated characters, animals, travel scenes, and still lifes are also part of the brand’s visual vocabulary.

Use patterns as expressive artwork across paper goods and lifestyle products. Let pattern scale and colorways vary by design and product; preserve the distinct character of the specific pattern rather than flattening every design into a generic floral.

Product imagery

Show Rifle Paper Co. designs in the context of the products they are made for, from stationery and greeting cards to wallpaper, textiles, home décor, and gifts. Favor images where the artwork, product finish, and useful details can all be appreciated. The brand presents both close product views and room or lifestyle contexts.

Web ui

For web work, use a light interface with a white background, gray text, and the deep green accent. The primary button uses a square-cornered green fill with white text; the secondary button uses a white fill, gray text, and a dark outline. Keep button treatments restrained so product illustrations remain the visual focus.

The type roles are Fortescue for headings, Miller Text for body copy, and Caslon’s Egyptian for labels and buttons. Match font weights to the specific role; do not apply one weight indiscriminately across the site.
