About Papier

Papier makes premium, personalisable stationery, photo books, cards and paper gifts. Its world brings thoughtful design and the pleasure of putting pen to paper into everyday plans, keepsakes and celebrations.

Papier’s identity has three parts: the PAPIER wordmark in serif capitals, a symbol of an open book with fanning pages, and a stacked lockup with the symbol above the wordmark. Use the wordmark as the primary mark and the symbol as its companion, or on its own where space is tight. Set them in Ink on paper-toned or white backgrounds, and use them as a deliberate signature rather than as decoration.

Papier’s voice

Papier’s voice is warm, artful and personable. It treats paper goods as meaningful companions to daily life: useful, expressive and worth keeping. Write with polished simplicity, gentle wit and sensory details; balance practical guidance with an emotional reason to care. Use short headings and conversational copy, and make personalisation feel like an invitation rather than a hard sell.

  • “We believe that stationery is more than pen and paper. It’s a powerful way to make each day noteworthy”
  • “From bold and bright to subtle and soft, we have designs for every kind of desk”
  • “Your words will glide across the page with ease”

Dos and don’ts

Do

  • Make personalisation feel easy and expressive: names, initials, quotes and meaningful words belong on the cover.
  • Show paper goods as part of real rituals: writing, planning, gifting, celebrating and keeping memories.
  • Balance refined presentation with expressive, varied design; Papier’s collection ranges from “bold and bright” to “subtle and soft.”
  • Set headings in Self Modern and body text in Suisse Int’l, in Ink on warm paper tones.
  • Describe sustainability carefully and concretely: Papier highlights made-to-order production, ethically sourced paper and recyclable paper packaging.

Don’t

  • Don’t make the brand feel cold, technical or mass-produced; keep the experience personal and considered.
  • Don’t overload copy with hype or generic luxury claims; ground quality in the paper, craft and usefulness.
  • Don’t present every Papier product as plastic-free or turn sustainability into a blanket guarantee; framed photo prints are an exception to its nearly all plastic-free packaging.
  • Don’t recolor, redraw or rearrange the wordmark, the book symbol or the stacked lockup.

More from the Brand Skill

Imagery brand and editorial

Papier’s brand imagery puts paper products into inviting everyday settings and celebrations. Product styling, tactile materials, handwritten or printed details, and personal rituals make the work feel human and keepsake-worthy. Editorial photography and product imagery should remain clearly tied to Papier’s own stationery, photo books and gifting experience.

Imagery identity

Keep identity art distinct from product photography and campaign imagery. Use Papier’s own wordmark, open book symbol and lockup as brand identifiers.

Imagery product

Use product imagery to show the variety and crafted detail of Papier’s own products: covers, bindings, page layouts, finishes, packaging and customisation. Product examples include notebooks, journals, wedding stationery, photo books and gifts. Where shown, retain useful views of product fronts, backs, interiors and packaging as examples of the product experience.

Imagery journals

Journal imagery should communicate specific interests and the joy of keeping them: recipes, reading, wellness, gratitude, travel, gardening and family milestones. Show the particular cover design and useful page or binding details where present.

Imagery photo books

Photo book imagery should emphasize personal storytelling, carefully chosen photographs, tactile bookmaking and the result as a keepsake. Show the product itself and, where useful, page layouts, cover finishes and packaging.

Imagery wedding

Wedding work combines coordinated stationery, personal details and keepsake quality. Papier’s wedding designs include invitations, menus, place cards, signage, table plans and guest books; imagery can show how a coordinated design carries through the celebration.

Imagery sustainability and service

For sustainability and customer-service imagery, keep the focus on Papier’s own materials, packaging, recycling guidance and product journey. Present practical information clearly and make the visual tone approachable rather than preachy.

Product experience

Personalisation is central to the product experience: customers choose a design, customize wording and cover details, and can create meaningful paper goods for themselves or others. For product and web creative, make customization feel intuitive and keep the finished item—not the interface—at the center.

When designing photo-book experiences, support browsing and arranging images, captions and layouts. The interface should feel simple and encouraging; the outcome is a carefully composed book that tells a personal story.
