Oatside’s voice
Write with a friendly, cheeky confidence. Talk like a real person, lead with delicious taste and texture, and use playful turns of phrase without losing clarity. Keep the tone optimistic and relaxed; a little self-mockery or affectionate exaggeration belongs when it serves the message.
- “Most people think oat milk tastes ‘kinda weird’”
- “Creamy enough for a rich mouthfeel, but also neutral enough so your precious fully-washed-single-origin-Ethiopian-Geisha beans or slow-roasted-Alishan-Oolong-tea can still shine through”
- “Peak chill, but thriving vibes”
- “We don’t know how to say this but... there’s someone else”
Dos and don’ts
Do
- Keep the visual identity upbeat, warm, and approachable, pairing clear product communication with lively Oatside personality.
- Use playful, conversational language and specific sensory details such as creamy, malty, and nutty.
- Let Oatside’s oat and bear characters add humor and humanity to brand storytelling.
- Make the product’s own packaging and variant identity clear when featuring Oatside products.
Don’t
- Don’t make the voice stiff, formal, or generic when a friendly, human expression would fit.
- Don’t describe the product as watery or bland; Oatside emphasizes creamy texture and roasted-oat maltiness.
- Don’t confuse product-specific packaging colors with the core brand palette.
More from the Brand Skill
Campaign imagery
Oatside’s campaign world is bright, energetic, and characterful. Combine product storytelling with expressive scenes, playful visual details, and a lighthearted sense of optimism.
Illustration and mascots
Use Oatside’s expressive, playful illustrations to bring warmth and humor to brand storytelling. The visual world includes oat characters, bear characters, comic-style panels, playful stickers, and hand-drawn story elements. Treat these as a flexible illustration language rather than a requirement for every design.
Product imagery
Show Oatside products as the distinct variants they are. Keep package artwork, flavor cues, and product names legible; use the product’s own colors and packaging as product-specific expression within the broader Oatside identity.
Food and recipes
Present Oatside as part of enjoyable everyday drinks and treats. Recipe imagery favors appetizing, colorful drinks and food with visible texture and a sense of homemade indulgence.
