Lalo’s voice
Write with warmth, reassurance, and practical optimism. Speak to parents as people navigating real routines; make useful product benefits clear without losing a friendly, human tone. Keep language conversational and inviting, with occasional playful turns of phrase.
Use the brand’s own cadence as a guide: “By your side from mealtime to playtime to bathtime; enjoy products that are safe, beautiful, and built to last.” “We put the same exacting care into every design as you do to the job of parenting.” “Remember, keeping play simple and consistent will make it feel less overwhelming for everyone!”

Dos and don’ts
Do
- Pair modern, considered design with a warm, family-centered tone.
- Make everyday utility feel inviting: highlight how products support mealtime, playtime, and bathtime routines.
- Describe benefits plainly and specifically, using friendly, encouraging language.
- Use the LALO wordmark as the brand signature, with the hippo as a compact secondary mark.
- Set the navy wordmark and text on Pale Banana, Light Sky or Electric Lime.
Don’t
- Don’t make the brand sound clinical, impersonal, or overly formal.
- Don’t overstate product or safety claims; keep statements grounded in the product’s established details.
- Don’t let decorative language obscure practical information parents need.
- Don’t stretch, crop or redraw the LALO wordmark or the hippo.
More from the Brand Skill
Furniture product imagery
Present furniture clearly, with enough space to read its shape, finish, and useful details. Show color variants faithfully; pair clean product views with contextual images that demonstrate scale, setup, and use. Keep dimension and feature graphics legible when included.
Lifestyle imagery
Show Lalo products in lived-in family moments: shared meals, play, caregiving, and everyday home routines. Favor natural, relaxed interactions and environments that feel calm, bright, and welcoming. Keep the product visible and part of the scene rather than making lifestyle imagery feel like a detached portrait.
Mealtime product imagery
Show mealtime products in clean, approachable settings that make their form, finish, and practical details easy to read. Use family or tabletop context to suggest real routines, and show product colorways distinctly.
Play and care product imagery
Keep the product at the center while showing how it fits into play, caregiving, and home life. Show materials, functional features, and color choices without distracting from the product. Use clear, useful feature graphics where they help explain a design.
Play collection imagery
Celebrate creative, open-ended play with clear product views and bright, purposeful contexts. Keep the visual mood playful but composed; prioritize the product and its use over visual clutter.
