About KFC
KFC is a global chicken restaurant brand rooted in Colonel Sanders’ Kentucky story and the craft of its signature fried chicken. Its identity pairs confident, energetic communication with a familiar red-led palette, condensed headlines, and imagery of food, people, restaurants, and the Colonel.

KFC’s voice
KFC’s voice is confident, conversational, energetic, and lightly playful. Ground brand storytelling in food, craft, the Colonel, and Kentucky heritage. Use plainspoken language and lively turns of phrase, while keeping product and offer details clear.
Let humor and enthusiasm add warmth; make the food sound appetizing without losing clarity or credibility.
- “It all began with the man, the myth, the legend himself”
- “Our chicken isn't made the fast way or the easy way”
- “From reducing our environmental footprint to creating more educational opportunities for everyone - we’re always striving to make an impact”
- “There’s a good reason for this kind of growth. By making KFC one of the top franchises to own, we're empowering our franchise owners”
Dos and don’ts
Do
- Use confident, conversational language with a little playfulness.
- Bring the Colonel, Kentucky roots, chicken craft, and familiar food into brand storytelling when relevant.
- Make product descriptions vivid and specific, and keep practical details easy to understand.
- Use the established palette and type roles consistently across a design.
- Choose KFC imagery that supports the story: its food, people, restaurants, heritage, or own digital experience.
Don’t
- Flatten the voice into generic corporate language; KFC’s published writing is direct and personable.
- Use humor or bravado in ways that obscure the message or the details of a product or offer.
- Treat a campaign line or promotion as permanent Brand language.
- Use another organization’s logo or identity artwork as a KFC mark.
KFC imagery
99 images from kfc.com, in 5 files of the Brand Skill. Each file starts with its guidance, then shows the images it refers to.
Brand assets
9 imagesThe standalone Brand mark and logo artwork are shown first. Backdrops and captured home-page compositions are supporting visual assets, not logos.
Food and campaign imagery
36 imagesUse KFC’s own food and campaign imagery to support menu discovery, promotional storytelling, and brand communication. The examples below include product photography, category visuals, campaign artwork, and newsroom imagery; match the image to the content and campaign context.
Franchise and heritage imagery
37 imagesKFC’s storytelling includes Colonel Sanders, the brand’s history, restaurant teams, franchisees, and its food-making process. Use these visuals where that subject is relevant; retain their original context when the image is tied to a particular story or franchise page.
Menu and product experience
11 imagesKFC’s menu and ordering experience pairs clear product names and descriptions with food imagery, selection steps, and optional add-ons. Preserve those product images and interface visuals when designing related KFC digital experiences.
App experience
6 imagesKFC’s app communications show food alongside the digital ordering experience: reordering, order tracking, pickup and delivery, and account features. Use KFC’s own app imagery when making KFC app or ordering work, and keep the product interface visible in context.

It has the guidance, 101 images and the logos. The font files belong to KFC Corporation, so they’re left out.
