About rhode

rhode is a skincare and hybrid makeup brand built around intentional, high-performance everyday essentials, barrier care, a hydrated glow, and take-everywhere convenience. Its creative world connects considered formulas with approachable routines and skin-first makeup.

Use rhode’s own wordmark and standalone r symbol as the brand’s identity artwork. Keep the original artwork intact and legible; use the r where a compact signature is needed and the wordmark where the brand name should read clearly.

rhode’s voice

Write with calm confidence: concise, clear, and personable. Lead with the practical value of a product or routine, then add tactile language—hydrated, supple, cushiony, dewy, glazed. Keep claims grounded in the product’s stated benefits and make technical ingredients easy to understand.

The brand’s own phrasing includes “one of everything really good,” “Lip care is skincare,” and “the essential prep step for your skincare routine.” Use this blend of simplicity, skin-first purpose, and approachable warmth as a voice reference.

For headlines, the brand uses short declarative statements and selective all-caps emphasis, as in “Edited, efficacious, intentional.” and “MINIMAL skincare, minimal FOOTPRINT.” Keep emphasis purposeful and readable.

Dos and don’ts

Do

  • Keep the identity and layouts clean, restrained, and easy to read.
  • Center skincare storytelling on purposeful formulas, skin-barrier care, hydration, and everyday routines.
  • Pair product information with a clear, accessible explanation of texture, feel, or use.
  • Use warm, direct language and short phrases that feel effortless rather than clinical.
  • Present hybrid makeup as color and care working together.

Don’t

  • Don’t make the brand feel ornate, loud, or needlessly complicated.
  • Don’t use inflated or unsupported product claims.
  • Don’t treat makeup as separate from skincare when describing the brand’s hybrid formulas.
  • Don’t overload copy with technical ingredient terminology without explaining its relevance.
