About Minecraft
Minecraft is a playful, imaginative gaming brand built around exploring, surviving, creating, and sharing worlds. Its worlds invite players of all ages to shape their own adventures, express themselves, and play together.

Use the dimensional Minecraft wordmark as the core game identity. Keep its block-built lettering, dark outlines and depth intact; do not recreate it with a font.
Minecraft Legends and Minecraft Dungeons have separate product marks. Keep those identities within their own game communications.

Minecraft’s voice
Write with an inviting, energetic, lightly mischievous voice. Make the possibilities feel expansive, but keep instructions straightforward. Use playful asides and game-world humor when it suits the moment; keep safety, accessibility, and practical guidance clear.
Favor active verbs and vivid, concrete descriptions. Invite players to discover, build, explore, survive, and play together. Use humor to add charm, not to obscure information or diminish a player.
- “Minecraft is for everyone, and diversity powers our community”
- “The Overworld, the blocky landscape the player finds themselves in when they spawn into a new Minecraft world, is a bright and carefree place. Well, at least during the day!”
- “Think of it as a dance! Just keep moving left and right and you will see that these cowardly mobs are actually pretty terrible archers”
Dos and don’ts
Do
- Invite people of different backgrounds and abilities into the world; make the welcome feel genuine and inclusive.
- Emphasize player creativity, exploration, building, and self-expression.
- Use lively, concrete language that makes an adventure feel close at hand.
- Let friendly humor add personality while keeping instructions easy to understand.
- Show players collaborating, discovering, and shaping worlds in their own ways.
Don’t
- Use hateful, bullying, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory messaging.
- Make the brand voice exclusionary or suggest that Minecraft is only for one kind of player.
- Let jokes interfere with clarity or make a player’s concern the punchline.
- Present illegal or harmful behavior as something to celebrate.
- Imply that there is only one right way to play, create, or explore.
Minecraft imagery
331 images from minecraft.net, in 4 files of the Brand Skill. Each file starts with its guidance, then shows the images it refers to.
Minecraft game imagery
159 imagesUse Minecraft’s block-built worlds as the central visual language: recognizable block geometry, expressive characters and mobs, and environments that reward exploration. The official work spans bright biomes, dramatic caves, cozy camps, nighttime danger, comic surprises, and large-scale adventures. Match the mood to the story or game update rather than forcing one lighting treatment across every scene.
The world imagery below shows the range of official Minecraft marketing, game content, and product experience.
Minecraft’s visual storytelling can move from playful daily life to suspenseful survival: show the clear contrast between the welcoming Overworld and the risks of darkness, while keeping the game’s block-based construction legible. Use product imagery to explain actions and features where needed.
Minecraft Dungeons imagery
87 imagesMinecraft Dungeons imagery uses a more action-forward register than the open-world game: heroes move as a team through dangerous, fantastical spaces, meeting hostile mobs with weapons, gear, and glowing combat effects. Show the game’s adventure and co-op energy while retaining its block-built forms. Keep Dungeons and Dungeons II artwork and product marks distinct from the core Minecraft game identity.
The following official key art, screenshots, game-interface images, and product visuals show both Dungeons titles.
Minecraft Legends imagery
30 imagesMinecraft Legends imagery presents a heroic action-strategy adventure in the Overworld. Combine expressive heroes, familiar mobs, allied groups, and piglin threats in broad, cinematic scenes. Keep the game’s own logo attached to Legends-specific creative.
The following official artwork and game imagery show Legends’ characters, creatures, environments, news, and product experience.
Marketplace and Realms imagery
55 imagesMarketplace and Realms imagery should make community content, shared play, and product features easy to understand. Marketplace creative ranges from content discovery and browsing to in-game items and worlds; Realms imagery emphasizes friends, private shared spaces, and cross-device play. Keep product interface screenshots intact when showing the Minecraft experience.
The images below include official Marketplace and Marketplace Pass artwork, Minecraft-authored Marketplace content, and Realms product and tutorial visuals.
The product catalog includes community-created works. Keep creator-specific identities distinct from Minecraft’s own identity; use Minecraft-authored content only when creating Minecraft-branded Marketplace examples.
More from the Brand Skill
Third-party use of Minecraft identity
When creative work uses Minecraft’s name, marks, or game assets for a fan project or third-party offering, keep the work clearly independent. Do not present it as official, approved, endorsed, or supported by Minecraft, Mojang, or Microsoft. Identify who is responsible for the offering and use the applicable prominent unofficial-project disclaimer on related materials.
Use Minecraft’s name only as a necessary, fair secondary description; do not make it the dominant name or title, or use other Minecraft identity elements as the offering’s branding. Commercial, promotional, or partnership work can require written approval; obtain it before using Minecraft in that capacity.
