About MapleStory

MapleStory is Nexon’s side-scrolling online role-playing game, built around colorful 2D worlds, character classes, quests and shared adventures. Its maple-leaf wordmark identifies the game separately from Nexon’s corporate identity and from update-specific campaign titles.

Use MapleStory’s supplied name-and-maple-leaf lockup for the game identity. Preserve its lettering, leaf and proportions. Keep Nexon’s corporate mark, individual character artwork and update campaign subtitles in their separate contexts.

MapleStory’s voice

Write in a friendly, playful voice that invites players to explore and participate. Keep choices, classes, quests and event instructions clear, and verify current dates and availability before describing live events.

  • “Select Your Character”
  • “Play now for free”

Dos and don’ts

Do

  • Use MapleStory’s own maple-leaf wordmark for the game.
  • Let colorful 2D characters and worlds support the adventure.
  • Give players clear, direct instructions and inviting choices.
  • Keep version and event information current and specific.

Don’t

  • Do not substitute Nexon’s corporate icon for MapleStory.
  • Do not use an update campaign subtitle as the default game identity.
  • Do not imply that an archived event or reward is currently available.

MapleStory imagery

2 images from nexon.com, in one file of the Brand Skill. Each file starts with its guidance, then shows the images it refers to.

Game-character imagery

2 images

Use MapleStory’s character artwork in its game context. Keep classes and campaign artwork recognizable and separate from the game’s maple-leaf wordmark.

  • A high-quality anime illustration of a chibi-style rabbit-eared girl with long, flowing white hair and piercing red eyes.
  • A chibi-style digital illustration of a young man with spiky black hair and glowing purple eyes, wearing a white button-down shirt and a loosened red tie.

Use MapleStory’s branded backdrops as visual backgrounds, not as substitutes for the MapleStory game mark.

A Brand Skill is a folder of brand guidance written for agents. Give it to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another agent and ask it to follow MapleStory’s guidelines. It starts at SKILL.md, which points to the right file for each task.

It has the guidance, 2 images and the logos. The font files belong to Nexon Korea Corporation, so they’re left out.
