About Le Labo

Le Labo is a New York-founded fragrance house built around soulful perfumery, considered craft, and creations mindfully blended, labeled, and packed by hand. Its world spans fine fragrance, home fragrance, body care, discovery, and personalized creations.

Use Le Labo’s stamped LE LABO / GRASSE – NEW YORK wordmark as the brand signature. Keep it distinct from campaign imagery, backdrops, product photographs, and third-party marks.

Le Labo’s voice

Write with the sensibility of a thoughtful perfumer: sensory, soulful, crafted, and quietly confident. Use evocative images and tactile language, then leave room for the reader to interpret. Le Labo’s copy can also turn wry and irreverent, especially when puncturing luxury convention.

  • “An open fire... The soft drift of smoke... Where sensuality rises after the light has gone”
  • “Slow perfumery, bottled. Soulful fragrances, hand crafted for you”
  • “And we believe that explanation kills art. Therefore, forget about all of this !”

Dos and don’ts

Do

  • Ground stories in intention, attention, and the hands-on work behind each creation.
  • Use sensory details and concise, evocative language to suggest a scent’s atmosphere.
  • Let thoughtful irreverence add character when the subject calls for it.
  • Keep the visual identity restrained: use the brand’s own wordmark, neutral colors, and a clear typographic hierarchy.

Don’t

  • Don’t over-explain the emotion or meaning of a fragrance; allow some mystery to remain.
  • Don’t make luxury sound formulaic or overly polished; the brand celebrates soulful fragrances and irreverent fine perfumery.
  • Don’t clean up or redraw the stamped wordmark; its rough, printed texture is part of the mark.

Identity and Backdrops

The stamped wordmark is Le Labo’s identity mark. Use other brand imagery as visual material, not as a brand mark.

Collection Imagery

Collection imagery presents Le Labo’s fine fragrance, refill, discovery, and home ranges. Preserve its role as collection and category imagery.

Editorial and Brand Imagery

Use editorial and brand imagery for Le Labo’s brand storytelling, campaign surfaces, editorial features, and broader visual world.

Product and Experience Imagery

Product and experience imagery shows Le Labo products, packaging, product pages, and discovery or refill experiences. Keep the relationship between each image and its specific product or experience intact.
