(opens in a new tab)Step 0: Start with one prompt
Claude chose what to make and wrote this prompt, with the Rainbrand MCP connected.
Use Rainbrand and Charm’s brand to turn the eight libraries on charm.land’s “Build with Charm” shelf into a pack of trading cards that tells a developer which one to reach for. Make the eight cards and their shared back, the foil booster pack that holds them, a terminal version built with Charm’s Gum and recorded with VHS that deals the right card, and a photo of the opened pack. Use each library’s own mascot and joke stat, and check every fact on charm.land and GitHub.
Step 1: Add a brand
Added to Rainbrand from charm.land (opens in a new tab). It came back without a name, logo, colours or fonts, so Claude added them from the site with a Brand Edit. A sample of what Claude could use:

Step 2: Ask for Briefs
Claude asked for 3 Briefs first: one for the cards and pack, one for the terminal demo, one for the photo.
For the cards and the pack
Claude asked for

task: “Design a concept trading-card deck for Charm's eight Go libraries, the ones on charm.land's "Build with Charm" shelf (Bubble Tea, Bubbles, Lip Gloss, Huh, Glamour, Wish, Log and Harmonica), plus the foil booster pack that holds them. It is a printed giveaway for developers at meetups and conference tables that helps them pick the right library. Each 63 × 88 mm card shows the library's own mascot, its name, the joke stat badge from charm.land (Flavor: Taro, Type: Tapioca, Glossiness: Very, Huh? What?, Build: Fashionable, Magical: Yes, Hot: Totally, Smooth: Very), its GitHub star count, the site's one-line description, a short "reach for it when" line and its go get command. All eight cards share one back. The booster pack wrapper (front and back, flat print artwork) holds the eight cards and carries a checklist of all eight. Charm already presents its tools as playful products (a pack of gum for Gum, a VHS sleeve for VHS, a POP soda can), so the pack should feel like one of those. Use these facts as supplied: GitHub stars on 27 Oct 2026: Bubble Tea 45.5k, Bubbles 9.0k, Lip Gloss 12.0k, Huh 7.2k, Glamour 3.7k, Wish 5.6k, Log 3.4k, Harmonica 1.6k. All eight are MIT licensed. Go modules are charm.land/<name>/v2 (bubbletea, bubbles, lipgloss, huh, glamour, wish, log), except github.com/charmbracelet/harmonica. This is an independent concept for an example, not a Charm product or announcement.”

- Logo
- “The primary mark is the supplied cream Charm wordmark. Place it on Violet and preserve the supplied artwork rather than redrawing it.”
- Mascots
- “Keep each library’s own mascot with its own name; the product artwork is distinct, not interchangeable.”
- Facts
- “Treat those as task-supplied content or verify them against the named sources; do not present them as Brand rules.”

For the terminal demo
Claude asked for
rainbrand · create_brief
task: “Make a concept command-line program, charm-pack, that deals one of those Charm library trading cards in the terminal, and record it with Charm's VHS as a 20–30 second demo video. It is a bash script built with Charm's Gum: it asks "What are you building?" with a list of needs (a whole terminal app; ready-made Bubble Tea components; colors, borders and layout; a form or a prompt; Markdown in the terminal; an app people open with ssh; readable logs; springy animation), shows a spinner while it shuffles the deck, then prints the matching library's card with Gum's Lip Gloss styling: name, star count and joke stat badge, the one-line description from charm.land, when to reach for it, and its go get command. Output is truecolor, so colors can be exact hex values. The audience is Go developers choosing a Charm library; the video would sit in a README or a social post the way Charm's own VHS demos do. Same eight libraries and facts as the printed deck (stars on 27 Oct 2026: Bubble Tea 45.5k, Bubbles 9.0k, Lip Gloss 12.0k, Huh 7.2k, Glamour 3.7k, Wish 5.6k, Log 3.4k, Harmonica 1.6k; modules charm.land/<name>/v2 except github.com/charmbracelet/harmonica). Independent concept, not a Charm product.”

Guidance
Charm brand context for `charm-pack`
- Colour
- “Use exact hex colors where supported, but don’t sacrifice contrast.”
- Type
- “The CLI should remain readable in a user’s monospace terminal rather than depending on those fonts being installed.”
- Boundaries
- “Use the visual language without presenting the script as an official Charm offering or implying endorsement.”
- Also
- Palette roles, each library’s mascot, the VHS sleeve as a reference, voice

For the pack photo
Claude asked for
rainbrand · create_brief
task: “Make one photograph of the concept Charm Library Pack for an example page: the opened foil booster pack lying on a desk, with four of its trading cards fanned out beside it and a laptop showing a terminal softly out of focus behind. It shows the printed giveaway as a real object. I will supply my finished flat artwork as references for the image model: the pack front and the Bubble Tea, Huh, Lip Gloss and Wish card fronts. The photo must keep that artwork as designed: same layout, mascots, names and colours, with the cream charm_ wordmark as the only logo. Light and set the scene so it suits Charm's violet and pink look without inventing new products, logos, mascots or text. No hands, people or other brands. This is an independent concept for an example, not a Charm product or announcement.”

- Artwork
- “Preserve their exact designs, layout, names, mascots, and colors on the physical printed surfaces”
- Screen
- “Keep any screen content unreadable so it introduces no extra text or brand marks.”
- Status
- “Keep this clearly an independent example concept, not a claim of an actual Charm release.”

Every asset was Reviewed. Review caught some problems, and Claude fixed them.
Huh card, colour check
The frame’s pink glows failed the colour check. Claude made it solid violet.

Review comment
“The card header uses an unapproved purple gradient instead of solid Charm Violet, and the subhead text uses an off-palette lavender.”

Review comment
“All measured colors match official brand values: Charm Violet, Cream, Terminal Ink, Badge Grey, Charm Pink, and Lime.”
Terminal demo, colour check
The terminal background was #171717. Claude set it to Terminal Ink.

Review comment
“The terminal background (#171717) materially diverges from Charm's Terminal Ink (#222222), despite the margin matching Charm Violet as requested.”

Review comment
“The violet margin, terminal background, and header chip match Charm’s violet and terminal ink palette. Antialiased terminal text colors were excluded from measurement.”
Pack photo, copy check
The photo’s Wish card read “iike”. Claude retouched the letter.

Review comment
“The copy matches Charm's playful developer voice, but the Wish card has a typo misspelling "like" as "iike".”

Review comment
“All requested pack and card text is present and spelled correctly. Tone fits Charm's voice guidance: conversational, playful, pairing functional descriptions with light wordplay.”
