## About Strava

Strava is a social fitness platform for people who move: athletes record activities, understand their progress, explore routes, and encourage one another. Its brand brings together personal effort, meaningful performance insights, and a welcoming community across sports and experience levels.

## Strava logo

Use Strava’s own wordmark and its standalone chevron symbol as the brand’s identity marks: the orange wordmark on white and light backgrounds, the white wordmark on orange, dark or photographic ones. Keep them clean, recognizable and separate from interface icons, photography, campaign artwork and partner identities. Use the artwork as it is; don’t redraw, modify or animate it, or approximate it with text.

## Strava’s voice

Write with the energy of an active community: optimistic, direct, encouraging, and grounded in the athlete’s own goals. Treat movement broadly, welcoming first steps and personal bests alike. Connect individual effort to shared motivation, and describe product benefits in clear, practical language.

- “Join for the tracking, stay for the community”
- “Community-Powered Motivation”
- “If you’re active, Strava was made for you”
- “We’re the social network for those who strive”

## Dos and don’ts

### Do

- Use Strava Orange as the signature accent and keep supporting colors restrained.
- Set headings and body text in Boathouse, with a strong, readable hierarchy.
- Celebrate a range of sports, abilities, experience levels, and personal goals.
- Connect activity tracking and performance insights to community encouragement and discovery.
- Write in an upbeat, plainspoken voice. Use the athlete’s effort and goals as the focus.

### Don’t

- Don’t make Strava feel exclusive to one sport or elite athletes.
- Don’t let performance metrics crowd out the human and social side of movement.
- Don’t use generic promotional language that loses the link between activity, progress, exploration, and community.
- Don’t modify, alter or animate the Strava wordmark or symbol; use the orange or white artwork as it is.

## More from the Brand Skill

### Imagery athletes and campaigns

Show real-feeling movement and human connection across sports and settings. Strava imagery ranges from focused solo efforts to friends sharing an activity, celebrating a goal, or enjoying time outdoors. Make the people and their effort central; use energetic, welcoming moments rather than posing that feels detached from sport.

### Imagery community and editorial

Use community and challenge imagery to make participation feel social, attainable, and rewarding. Strava challenge artwork, editorial imagery, and feature stories can add variety to athlete-focused campaigns while keeping the movement and community at the center.

### Imagery product experience

When showing the product, preserve Strava’s activity-centered experience: recorded efforts, route maps, performance summaries, training analysis, and community features. Product visuals should feel like the tool athletes use before, during, and after activity—not generic fitness screens.

### Imagery maps and routes

Maps and routes are core parts of the Strava experience. Use route lines, activity maps, and outdoor landscapes to convey exploration, local discovery, and the effort behind a recorded activity. Keep map imagery tied to real activity or route planning rather than treating it as decoration.

## Download Strava’s Brand Skill

A Brand Skill is a folder of brand guidance written for agents. Give it to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another agent and ask it to follow Strava’s guidelines. It starts at SKILL.md, which points to the right file for each task.

This copy includes the guidance and logos. It leaves out the reference images and font files.
