## About Google

Google is a technology company whose mission is to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful. Its creative work presents technology as helpful, broadly accessible, and connected to people’s everyday lives.

Use Google’s own wordmark or standalone G as the corporate identity mark. Keep the wordmark distinct from product marks such as Gemini, Chrome, or Google Maps. The standalone G is a brand symbol, not a substitute for every use of the wordmark. Choose the mark that suits the format, and make sure it remains easy to recognize.

Google’s multicolor G and product marks can serve as recognizable brand accents. Use a product mark to identify that product; do not make it stand in for the corporate wordmark.

## Google’s voice

Write in a clear, helpful, confident voice. Explain what a technology does and why it matters to people; keep claims specific and understandable. When describing responsibility, accessibility, or impact, use direct language rather than grandiose promises.

Use Google’s mission as an anchor for company-level storytelling: “Our mission is to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.”

- “From the beginning, our passion for building technology for everyone has guided our work”
- “We’re working to expand what’s possible to help billions of people reach their goals”
- “When it comes to privacy, we know one size doesn’t fit all”

## Dos and don’ts

### Do

- Use Google’s wordmark or G as a clear corporate mark, and distinguish corporate identity from product marks.
- Keep visual work clear and approachable, with spacious light backgrounds; use color and product imagery to help explain the subject.
- Write plainly about what a product does and how it helps people.
- Keep impact and responsibility claims specific to the subject being described.

### Don’t

- Don’t invent a corporate mark or confuse a product mark with the corporate wordmark.
- Don’t recolor the wordmark or the G, or change the order of their colors.
- Don’t overstate a product’s capabilities or Google’s role in an initiative.

## More from the Brand Skill

### Brand photography and campaign imagery

Google’s company photography spans people using products, teams at work, offices and campuses, research, technology, and community impact. Favor natural human moments and real settings; let the subject and context carry the story.

### Office and location photography

Google’s office and location imagery features buildings, workspaces, campuses, and regional settings. Use it to show the company’s global presence and workplace environments.

### Product marks and product experience

Product marks identify individual Google products; preserve their own shapes and colors rather than treating them as the corporate logo. The product catalog includes marks for Search, Gemini, Chrome, Maps, Workspace apps, Android, YouTube, and other products.

Product photography should show devices and features in use, with clear attention to what the product helps someone do. Product experience imagery includes Search, Gemini, Android, Pixel, and AI demonstrations; retain real interface details when showing Google products.

### Google Maps, Google Earth, and Street View content

This guidance applies when a project uses Google’s mapping products or their imagery. Keep the product recognizable and its attribution visible and legible while the content is shown. Do not change the interface colors or remove, obscure, or crop out attribution. If imagery includes attribution for other data providers, credit those providers as well as Google.

For Google Maps, a standard embed or a link to Maps is suitable for many web uses. More integrated commercial uses should use Google Maps Platform. Printed Maps content is limited to the permitted use cases described in Google’s guidance; it is not appropriate as merchandise or as the main creative element of promotional material.

Google Earth content is not for commercial or promotional use. Static images may be used for eligible noncommercial contexts with attribution; do not embed Earth online or in apps. For film, broadcast, and online video, preserve attribution and follow the applicable usage requirements.

Street View imagery is not for print. For web and apps, use an embed or supported API rather than a screenshot. In video, show it only in context as someone uses the product, and follow its project request requirements.

### Partner and sponsorship work

Use this guidance only for work that represents an actual Google partnership or sponsorship. An existing relationship does not by itself authorize use of Google’s logo; use the applicable program guidance and coordinate approval through the Google contact.

Describe Google’s role precisely and only for the active engagement. For a sponsorship, use language such as “sponsored by,” “supported by,” or “made possible by.” Avoid language that implies a broader partnership, endorsement, or role than the arrangement supports.

When an approved Google logo appears alongside sponsor logos, use the approved unmodified mark, give it equal prominence within its sponsorship tier, and keep suitable clear space. Select a version that remains legible against the background.

## Download Google’s Brand Skill

A Brand Skill is a folder of brand guidance written for agents. Give it to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another agent and ask it to follow Google’s guidelines. It starts at SKILL.md, which points to the right file for each task.

This copy includes the guidance and logos. It leaves out the reference images and font files.
