# How to use Claude for marketing without losing your brand

Give Claude a real marketing job, the sources behind it and current brand guidance. Use Projects, skills and connectors for their different jobs, then inspect the finished work before it goes out.

## TL;DR

Give Claude one marketing job, its source material and your current brand guidance. Use Projects for campaign work, skills for repeatable methods and connectors for information and tools. Draft the message before making assets, then inspect the actual files, claims and images before publication.

## Choose a job with real inputs

Start with a deliverable whose evidence you can inspect. [Anthropic’s marketing workflow](https://claude.com/resources/articles/how-anthropic-uses-claude-marketing) combines campaign inputs, brand and product guidance, refinement and export.

| Job | Supply | Ask for |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Customer research | Interview notes or permitted transcripts | Themes, quotes and exceptions |
| Campaign planning | Audience, offer, objective and constraints | Distinct directions with reasons |
| Content production | Approved facts and brand guidance | Drafts for named channels |
| Reporting | Actual exports and metric definitions | Calculations and questions to investigate |

Tell Claude to flag missing evidence rather than invent a conversion rate, quote or capability.

## Put each kind of context in its place

- **[Projects](https://support.claude.com/en/articles/9517075-what-are-projects):** campaign research, decisions and drafts.
- **[Skills](https://support.claude.com/en/articles/12512180-use-skills-in-claude):** your repeatable briefing or checking method. Required capabilities and team settings affect access.
- **[Connectors](https://support.claude.com/en/articles/11176164-use-connectors-to-extend-claude-s-capabilities):** access to services. Check the supported actions and connected account.

Retrieve the brand through a connection rather than copying its complete guide into every project. Anthropic’s [Marketing plugin](https://claude.com/marketplace/plugins/marketing) supplies starting workflows; give them your current guidance and inspect their evidence.

## Check the experience you have

Anthropic’s [chat/Cowork merger](https://support.claude.com/en/articles/16761823-claude-cowork-and-chat-are-one-claude) was rolling out in October 2026, so accounts can show different options. Check that yours has the files, connectors and [output tools](https://support.claude.com/en/articles/12111783-create-and-edit-files-with-claude) the job requires.

Use Claude Code for deliverables in a repository; [brand context for coding agents](https://www.rainbrand.com/blog/brand-context-for-coding-agents/) covers that setup.

## Connect the brand before drafting

Rainbrand maintains brand guidance and assets that agents retrieve for recurring work. Setup is self-serve:

1. [Create an account](https://www.rainbrand.com/auth/sign-up), then follow the [Claude connection guide](https://www.rainbrand.com/integrations/claude/).
2. Ask which Rainbrand account is connected and check the answer.
3. Choose a ready brand, or [add one from its sources](https://docs.rainbrand.com/guides/create-brand) and wait until it is ready. Confirm its name and guidance.
4. [Request a Brief](https://docs.rainbrand.com/guides/request-brief) for the deliverable, audience and constraints. It returns relevant guidance and selected assets.

The connection gives Claude access; the Brief tells it which brand context applies to this job.

## Draft one launch email

Supply the actual announcement, approved claims and destination link:

Ask your agent

```
Find [your brand] in Rainbrand and confirm its name. Request a Brief for a launch email to [your audience], using the attached announcement as the source for product claims. Show the relevant guidance and assets, then propose two email angles with a reason for each. Flag facts needing confirmation. Do not send anything.
```

Choose an angle, then request the subject, preheader, body and call to action. Keep product names, approved claims and destination unchanged; ask for sources behind any additional assertion.

Settle the message before turning it into HTML or an image. Open the finished file to check its layout and crop too.

## Make a campaign without copying the prompt

Reuse the audience and source material, but brief each output for its format. An email needs an opening; a landing page needs hierarchy; an image needs composition and references.

In the [Heart Aerospace update](https://www.rainbrand.com/integrations/claude/#write-the-update-email), Claude made an investor and airline-partner email and presentation. Heart develops aircraft. The Brief separated X1 demonstrator facts from ES-36 plans and directed Claude to the newsroom for announcement dates.

The exported deck contained the cover image and logo, but its named fonts were not embedded. Check it on the machine that will present it.

For image production, use the Brief with [your existing tools](https://docs.rainbrand.com/guides/use-your-own-generation-tools) or Rainbrand’s [AI Gateway](https://docs.rainbrand.com/guides/use-ai-gateway).

## Review and improve the process

Before publication:

- Check facts against their sources, then inspect the final format and destination.
- Use [Rainbrand Review](https://docs.rainbrand.com/guides/request-review) to check the work against the brand. For a campaign image, submit the finished image and expected copy.
- Revise the piece from confirmed findings and keep unresolved questions with the publishing decision.
- When feedback changes a lasting brand rule, [prepare and apply a brand update](https://docs.rainbrand.com/guides/edit-brand), then request a new Brief. Existing exports and project files stay unchanged.

Start with your next launch email. [Reviewing AI content before publication](https://www.rainbrand.com/blog/review-ai-content-before-publishing/) covers the wider handoff.
